Announcement on Proper Declaration Information Submission
Dear Rakufun users,
Recently, Rakufun warehouse has further strengthened the review standards for package declarations. As a result, some users' consolidation requests have been rejected due to inconsistencies between the declared information and the actual contents of the packages.
To avoid delays in package processing and delivery, please make sure that the declaration information matches the actual items in your package when applying for shipment or package consolidation.
1. Notes for Japan Post (EMS / AIR / SEA), DHL, and FedEx
These shipping lines support automatic declaration, and the system will usually import the product categories filled in by sellers on Japanese shopping platforms.
However, please note that the categories provided by Japanese sellers are mainly for product listing and sales purposes, and may not always meet international customs declaration requirements. Therefore, the automatically imported categories may differ from the actual declaration category required for the item.
For example:
Example 1: Handbag (Bag)
Some Mercari sellers may categorize handbags under categories such as "Fashion" or other clothing-related categories. However, for international customs declaration, the item should be declared according to its actual product type:
✅ Bag / Handbag
instead of:
❌ Fashion
If the declared information does not match the actual contents of the package, it may result in:
Delays in customs inspection;
Requests for additional documents or information;
Package return;
Additional taxes or handling fees.
Therefore, when using Japan Post (EMS / AIR / SEA), DHL, or FedEx, please check the automatically imported declaration information before submitting your shipment request. If the product name or category does not match the actual item, please update it accordingly.
2. Notes for ECMS Declaration
Since ECMS requires users to manually fill in declaration information, please make sure to provide complete and accurate details based on the actual product.
The product name should preferably include:
Specific product type + Brand/IP name + Approximate size/model + Quantity
Example:
✅ Chiikawa baby plush toy Usagi 1 piece
(Chiikawa: Brand/IP
plush toy: Product type
Usagi: Character/Specification
1 piece: Quantity)
More examples:
✅ Sanrio Hello Kitty keychain 1 piece
✅ Pokemon Pikachu PVC figure 1 piece
✅ Ado concert T-shirt cotton size M 1 piece
Please make sure that:
✅ The product name matches the actual item
✅ The product category accurately reflects the item type
✅ Product specifications and quantity are provided completely
Accurate declaration information will help your package pass review more smoothly and reduce possible shipping delays.
