Notice Regarding FedEx Demand Surcharge Adjustment

Dear Rakufun Users,

 

According to the latest notice from FedEx, starting from September 21, 2026, FedEx will impose a Demand Surcharge on shipments from Japan to certain overseas countries and regions.

 

As a result, the shipping fees for the relevant destinations under Rakufun's FedEx shipping service will be adjusted accordingly. Details are as follows:

The above Demand Surcharge will be calculated based on the applicable chargeable weight or shipment standard and will be included in the final FedEx shipping fee.

 

And starting from September 21, 2026, FedEx will charge an additional fee for international parcels that meet the conditions for “non-standard cargo”:

Non-standard Cargo Peak Surcharge: 770 JPY per item

 

The following situations may be subject to this charge:

  • Special handling fees due to size, weight, or packaging
  • Oversized cargo
  • Unapproved packaging or cargo

 

If you are planning to use FedEx shipping services in the near future, we recommend checking the applicable surcharge for your destination in advance and arranging your shipment accordingly.
